CHILDREN'S & FAMILY SERVICES OF YOUNGSTOWN AWARDED $123,600 FEDERAL GRANT

Youngstown, Ohio – U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant, Jr. (D–OH) announced today that Children's and Family Services of Youngstown has been awarded a $123,600 federal grant.  The grant will be used to run Daybreak II, a center for runaway and homeless youths.  The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families.

Daybreak II provides shelter and services for runaway and homeless youths from the ages of 12 through 17.  "I want to commend the dedicated and talented staff at Daybreak II, as well as Children's and Family Services for the remarkable work they continue to do," said Traficant.  "This grant will help them to continue providing desperately needed services to at-risk young people."
