Washington, D.C. – U. S. Rep. James A. Traficant, Jr. (D–OH), in response to a number of requests his office has received to intervene and help settle the ongoing strike at RMI Titanium of Niles, Ohio, today issued the following statement:
"Many families have been calling my office urging me to get involved in the RMI strike. I understand their concern and their sense of urgency. I want them to know that I will do all I can to help settle this strike. However, I cannot intervene in the strike unless I am asked to do so by both the management of RMI and the labor union."
